| The
Officers' Spouses' Club here at Scott Air Force Base is a dynamic, energetic,
fun-loving group of military spouses from all branches of the military, both
active duty and retired. We hold monthly socials, usually on the second
Wednesday of the month, that offer both socializing and entertainment. There
are opportunities for just about everyone, whether you enjoy bowling, canasta,
bridge, mah jong, bunco, golf, quilting, sewing, reading . . . just about
anything you can imagine. And if there's a special interest you'd like to share
there is always the opportunity to begin something new. You won't find a
greater source of support and camaraderie, whether you are brand new to the
military way of life, new to Scott AFB or have just never been involved in a
spouses' club.
In
addition to the OSC which is our social organization, we have a charitable
association-The Scott Officers’ Spouses’ Charitable Association (OSCA) which
contributes to both the base and local communities. Our fundraising activities
throughout the year benefit scholarships for our military children and spouses
and base programs such as "Pilot for a Day," Youth Center
activities, the Airman's Attic and the base library. We give locally to
programs such as food pantries, senior nutrition programs and local Girl Scout
and Boy Scout troops.
